For Communities

The Army Reserve is connected to every community in America. Army Reserve Soldiers serve as civilians in law enforcement and fire departments, as physicians and nurses, and in myriad other ways that strengthen communities.

Communities can help show their support for Army Reserve Soldiers and Veterans by helping commemorate the 100th Anniversary.

• Adopt a proclamation recognizing the centennial. Click here for a draft proclamation.
• Host a local commemoration in honor of the Army Reserve's 100th Anniversary. This could be a party, parade or picnic, among many other things. Click here for instructions on hosting a special 100th Anniversary commemoration.
• Host a fundraiser in honor of the Army Reserve's 100th Anniversary, such as a fun walk/run, car wash, bake sale, or other event, and donate the profits to our troops.
• Hang signs around the community to commemorate the Army Reserve's 100th Anniversary and honor your local service-men and women. Click here for special 100th Anniversary graphics.
• Participate in a local event, organized by the Army Reserve, to commemorate the 100th Anniversary.
