This 100th Anniversary year is a time to commemorate and honor fellow Army Reserve Soldiers and Veterans, and those who will follow as the Army Reserve continues its proud tradition of excellence.

Listed below are a few ways you can help commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Army Reserve.

  • Throw a 100th birthday for the Army Reserve with fellow Soldiers from your unit or community. Click here for ideas for a special 100th Anniversary commemoration.
  • Check the Calendar to learn about 100th Anniversary events taking place in your region. Participate in those events, and if possible, offer to helping with the planning and execution.
  • Take a moment to thank your family and friends for their support, and share stories with them about your Army Reserve experiences.
  • Contact your local Public Affairs Officer (PAO) to share your story, or the story of an Army Reserve Soldier who has made an impact on your life. Email 100th@USAR.army.mil for your local PAO's contact information.
  • Tell everyone about your everyday Army Reserve hero by leaving a tribute to a Soldier who has touched your life.
  • Write a thank you note to your employer for their ongoing support. Let your employer know about the 100th Anniversary, and that the success of the Army Reserve would not be possible without their support. Click here for a sample employer thank you letter.
