For Veterans

This 100th Anniversary year is a time for you to commemorate and honor your fellow Army Reserve Soldiers, the Soldiers who served before you, and those who will follow in your footsteps as the Army Reserve continues its proud tradition for centuries to come.

Listed below are a few ways you can help commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Army Reserve.

  • Your Army Reserve story is important: share it with others. Contact your local Public Affairs Officer (PAO) to let them know you are interested in sharing your story with the media and others. They will coordinate opportunities. Email 100th@USAR.army.mil for your local PAO's contact information.
  • Offer to visit schools to discuss your role in American history, and the significance of the Army Reserve's 100th Anniversary. Click here for a sample letter.
  • Participate in local events in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the Army Reserve. Visit the calendar to learn of events being planned by the Army Reserve.
  • Contact your local Public Affairs Officer and offer to serve as a mentor to Army Reserve Soldiers in your region. Your experiences and advice is invaluable to these Soldiers. Email 100th@USAR.army.mil for your local PAO's contact information.
  • Encourage your employer to pay tribute to the Army Reserve's 100th Anniversary by hosting a company picnic, hanging signs around the workplace (Click here for special 100th Anniversary graphics), or featuring the Army Reserve in a newsletter article (Click here for a sample newsletter about the Army Reserve's 100 year history).
